In this tutorial, we show users how to apply the INBD tool described in the paper by Gillert et al. (2023). The tool recognizes concentric rings in thin sections of 3 different shrub species, and provides ring-width and ring-area measurements. In the tutorial, we explain how to confront the output showing the ring area recognition with the original image, to test the accuracy of the tool.
